Ampthill Festival CIC ceases to trade and enters voluntary liquidation

Ampthill Festival CIC, a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, has announced the cessation of its trading activities. This decision affects all the events – AmpRocks, AmpProms, and AmpGala – organised by Ampthill Festival CIC.

According to the Ampthill Festival CIC, the adverse weather on the festival weekend led to the cancellation of AmpProms for safety of the attendees and performers as well as the unusually cold and wet AmpRocks evening and AmpGala afternoon had a direct impact on the success of the weekend.

The festival ran entirely on ticket sales and the support of local sponsors as well as revenue generated over the weekend. As such, both the cancellation of AmpProms and poor gate sales of AmpRocks and AmpGala music arena, led to the festival being unable to cover costs and be solvent to continue into 2024.

The proceedings related to the winding-up process will be handled by Strong Anderson, which has been instructed to place the Company into Creditors Voluntary Liquidation.

Strong Anderson has contacted all creditors, including ticketholders; however, if you believe you have been inadvertently overlooked, email contact@strong-anderson.co.uk.
