Anagram and BJA Design create sewer lair for Ninja Turtles launch

Anagram worked in partnership with BJA Design to deliver a themed event for Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP). An underground sewer lair was created in Shoreditch, London, to celebrate the launch of NVCP’s next generation of popular children’s series.

NVCP announced its plans to over 350 guests for well-known characters; Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles including films, toys, apps and programmes.

To stage the launch, event production and audio-visual specialists, Anagram was tasked to create an environment that would replicate the underground sewer lair the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles inhabit in the series including a giant concrete sewer pipe stage. This included a projection onto one of the venue’s external walls to enable LA-based artist, David Flores to paint a 120 square metre mural of the turtles. Inside the venue, Anagram provided all AV support, sound system, LX and video projection together with the concrete sewer pipe stage and piazza bar.

Plus working to create such an iconic childhood image was great fun, proving we’re all kids at heart!”
