Annual disability sport festival announced by LLDC

An annual disability sport festival is to take place on the Olympic Park as part of the £2 million Paralympic legacy of the London 2012 Games.

Taking place in October 2013, the first annual festival of sport for disabled people will bring more than 2,000 disabled and non-disabled people together.

The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), which is responsible for the Olympic Park after the Games, has pledged £2 million towards the Paralympic legacy on the site. The Park will be renamed the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park once the Games end.
