Archery GB has appointed Lindsay Impett as chair of the steering group for the 2028 European Archery Championships in Nottingham.

Impett brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as event director for the 2016 European Archery Championships, as well as event director for the award-winning Vitality Netball World Cup in Liverpool in 2019. Her proven track record in delivering major international sporting events will be invaluable as we continue to develop plans for 2028.

This event represents a landmark moment for archery in the UK, and Impett’s leadership will play a key role in shaping a successful and memorable championships for athletes, officials, and spectators alike.

Impett said: “I am delighted to be joining Archery GB as the Chair of the 2028 European Archery Championships in Nottingham. Having worked on the 2016 event in the same city, I’ve seen first-hand the passion and local spirit that makes Nottingham such a special home for this sport. I’m looking forward to supporting the team to build towards another brilliant event.”
