Fiat Group Automobiles, Emporio Armani, Kinder and Banca Intesa will be official sponsors of Casa Italia, the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) headquarters for the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Casa Italia, which will be located at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), will host the Italian delegation for London 2012.
Fiat vehicles will be branded with a distinctive CONI livery and will be kept in front of the centre to provide transport for Italian athletes 24-hours a day. Fiat will also take an active part in various initiatives organised at Casa Italia throughout the Olympic period.
EA7 Emporio Armani, the sponsor and official outfitter of the Italian Olympic and Paralympic team, will have an on-site merchandise store as well as a hosting presence for all invited guests to the centre.
Raffaele Pagnozzi, general secretary, CONI: “We are delighted to have so many famous worldwide brands supporting the Azzurri (the Italian Olympic team). The Azzurro team athletes will be the main ambassadors and communicators of ‘Made in Italy’ and for this we must thank our partners who believed in and supported us. The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre will breathe the scent of Italy.”
Sue Etherington, commercial director, The QEIICC said: “With under three months to go, we are working very closely with CONI, and the plans for transforming The QEIICC into Casa Italia are going well. It is very exciting to see the involvement of these high profile global brands with CONI and Casa Italia, and to work with them on their plans to transform the Centre into a unique Casa Italia for the London 2012 Games. We are delighted to be working with CONI and such prestigious International brands.”
Alitalia, Samsung and P&G have all been named as official partners.
