Eventwell brings a quiet room to the AEV conference for a third consecutive year

The non-profit social enterprise, EventWell, returned to the Association of Event Venues annual AEV Conference for its third consecutive year as the conference’s well-being partner on 17 November 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London.

For 2023, EventWell set up a Quiet Room, which provided a calm and safe space for delegates as well as emotional and practical support from its trained and experienced team.

Alden Arnold, Project Manager at the Association of Event Venues, explained, “In a world where everything is moving at 100mph and we are surrounded by a million distractions – social media, work pressures and deadlines – it’s important to be able to find quiet space to rebalance and reset. We were delighted to welcome EventWell to our conference for the third time, who provided their quiet room that allowed our delegates to do just that.”

Helen Moon, CEO and founder of EventWell, said, “We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with the AEV again! Its team and members are passionate about advocating for mental health, well-being and neuroinclusion and finding ways to expand the support available to members and the wider industry.”

The Event Industry Alliance (EIA), which includes the AEV, AEO, and ESSA, partnered with EventWell in 2021 to support its members and community. Since the start of the partnership EventWell has provided Quiet Rooms for multiple EIA events.

“Providing delegates with a space to take a break and decompress can make a huge difference in their overall experience, especially for those who are neurodivergent. By bringing our Quiet Rooms to the AEV conference, we hope we have made a positive impact and made the event more accessible and comfortable for everyone who came to see us.” Moon concluded.

An Evolution Dome structure at RecFest

Evolution Dome's inflatable structures take centre stage at RecFest 2023

Evolution Dome, an inflatable structures provider, has deployed seven inflatable structures at RecFest 2023, the recruitment festival organised by The Recruitment Events Co. Evolution Dome's structures played a vital role in creating an impressive visual and functional environment for event attendees at Knebworth Park.

The Evolution Dome team installed all the structures within a single day. This rapid deployment and the equally swift de-rig saved the event organiser a substantial amount of time building the festival, allowing it to focus on other crucial aspects of event preparation.

Evolution Dome provided seven of RecFest's nine stages required for the event.

Ash Austin, director of Evolution Dome, said: “The Recruitment Events Co selected a range of our inflatable structures to enhance the festival's infrastructure. At RecFest 2023, the team deployed a 24m dome with a footprint of 380 square metres and a capacity of 700 standing and 380 seated, two 20m domes with a footprint of 240 square metres each, a 20m cube covering 324 square metres, a 15m cube with a 185 square metre footprint, an ESP 2400 – Inflatable Stage Cover for the events main stage and, lastly an 11m Airoof.

“Time was a key factor for this organiser," Austin added. "Our Air Beam system meant we could install seven sizeable structures in a single day, which was a great help in keeping build and derig times to a minimum."

OMG Racing Evolution Dome

OMG Racing secures pole position with Evolution Dome at BSB 2023

OMG Racing raced to victory in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship (BSB) last year and is looking to retain the title in 2023, bringing Evolution Dome along for the ride.

From April 7 - October 15, 2023, the OMG Racing team will be utilising its latest investment, a 20m x 20m inflatable structure, for all 11 rounds of the season, making stops at several circuits across the UK, including Silverstone and Donington Park.

The structure will serve two purposes:

  • A for-hire space providing a venue for fans and corporates to use for pre-race meet-ups, conferences, and more, each Friday before the race days.
  • On race weekends, the structures will become a hospitality space for fans, with additional room for members of the FortyFour club - OMG Racing's "ultimate sponsorship access programme" for corporates and motorcycle fans.

Alan Gardner, team owner at OMG Racing, explains: “As well as being reigning British Superbike Champions, we’ve earned a reputation within the paddock for having arguably the finest hospitality set-up for our guests and sponsors. So, when we were looking for a way to increase capacity, maintaining that standard was going to be paramount. For us, the ability to have such a large, high-quality space installed in such a short space of time was the deciding factor in choosing Evolution Dome, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our FortyFour Club members and team guests this season.”

Ash Austin, director of Evolution Dome, said: “Each year, BSB brings together thousands of dedicated motorcycle racing fans to celebrate the sport and the hard work of the teams involved. It’s clear the OMG Racing Team appreciate the community they have built, with the quality of guest experience at the forefront when planning the season.”

Austin concluded: "Our temporary structures are the perfect addition to OMG Racing’s hospitality offerings as they are versatile, quick-to-deploy and provide great sound insulation and protection from the elements. I believe that OMG Racing will find it a very worthwhile investment when looking after their guests and sponsors.”

Evolution Dome will be unveiling its latest product range, on March 1, 2023, featuring The Decagon, a multi-purpose 10-metre wide, sealed air structure, with five brand-able walls. The 78 square metre temporary structure requires no power supply, reducing carbon emissions, noise pollution, and costs.

Ash Austin, director of Evolution Dome, explained: “We’re always looking for new ways to help event organisers create memorable experiences for attendees and stand out from the crowd. We developed the decagon with versatility and ease in mind, being designed to be easy to transport and deploy.”

Austin added" “The Decagon is also our latest step towards providing more sustainable structure solutions and it’s the starting product for our latest shape offering - with versatility at the forefront - and we’ll be announcing additional sizes in the future.”
