Kru Live launches Social KRU

Kru Live, the globally recognised and award-winning live engagement agency, has launched Social KRU, a new offer bringing together brand experience, retail, creators and social commerce.

Social KRU has been developed from Kru Live’s experience of seeing first-hand how the lines between brand ambassador, retail specialist, creator and salesperson are increasingly overlapping.

“The idea actually started years ago when one of our clients kept requesting the same brilliant member of our in-store KRU by name,” said Sarah-Jane Benham, CEO of Kru Live Global. “They knew the product inside out, could sell, and happened to have around 100,000 social followers. They were also creating content about their day, the products they were demonstrating and the brand they were representing. It made us realise something: your best creator might already be standing on the shop floor.”

Kru Live subsequently audited its wider Kru community and discovered a network of nano and micro creators already representing brands in the real world. Since then, the agency has been testing and developing the model through creator campaigns, talent partnerships and live social selling.

Social KRU brings that experience together for the first time in one connected offer, spanning four areas:

Social KRU Talent: Access to creators from within Kru Live’s existing KRU community, from nano and micro talent through to more traditional influencer partnerships.

SellSocially: A digital training and measurement platform that helps clients’ existing teams and fans create better content, build confidence and become effective brand creators.
KRU Studios: Dedicated spaces for creating social-first content, product demonstrations, creator sessions and live commerce.

Live Selling: From TikTok Lives to live selling from store, Social KRU combines talent, product knowledge and production to turn content into commerce.
Clients can use individual elements of Social KRU or bring them together as a connected programme spanning physical brand experience, creator content and social commerce.

The offer is supported by SellSocially, a training, gamification and performance platform developed by CYPHR, the digital experience and product studio within Brand Partnership Group. The technology enables brands to train, activate and reward their communities, while managing content, missions and measurement at scale.

Rob Bennett, CEO and Co-founder of CYPHR said: “SellSocially has been designed to work seamlessly with Social KRU, providing the technology that helps brands train, activate and reward their people at scale. It turns product knowledge and genuine enthusiasm into effective social content, while giving brands the tools to manage missions, measure performance and connect advocacy directly to commerce.”

Benham added: “Brands are already investing in brilliant people who understand their products, know how to engage customers and have the confidence to represent them face-to-face. Social KRU gives them the tools and opportunity to take that influence beyond the shift and beyond the physical footprint. Helping drive sales and community long after the doors close.”

Social KRU builds on Kru Live’s established expertise in live engagement, retail and brand experience while reflecting the growing convergence of physical and digital customer journeys.

Founded in 2008 by Lora Lutostanska-Enthoven, Wonderland has become a trusted partner for brands such as Amazon, Red Bull, SHEIN, Microsoft, TikTok, Vinted, L’Oréal, and HubSpot. In the last two years, the agency has delivered hundreds of events across Europe, the US, and APAC, bringing deep expertise in tech, beauty, finance, fashion, media, and FMCG.

Wonderland is a creative events agency that designs immersive experiences that elevate brand identity. Working across live, narrative, and execution, they translate strategy into culturally relevant moments, delivered with precision, scal,e and creative control. Operating globally, Wonderland has led complex, high-impact productions that unite visionary creative thinking with rigorous delivery. From immersive brand moments to large-scale international activations, their work is defined by originality, clarity, and cultural intelligence, creating disruptive experiences that inspire and endure.

The acquisition adds further creative firepower and experiential design expertise to Strata, opening up new sector opportunities and high-level briefs. It increases capacity across the group and supports Strata’s strategy to diversify its sector mix and reduce risk by broadening its client portfolio.

Founded by Lora Lutostanska Enthoven, Wonderland is guided by an overarching strategic and creative vision that continues to shape the agency today. The agency is led by Managing Director Luisa Caro, supported closely by Executive Director of Creative Events Susanne Lumb. Together with a multidisciplinary team of producers, designers, and creatives, they have built a culture where ideas and craft lead every project. Wonderland is built by people who understand culture, shaping ideas into experiences that hold attention and leave a mark.

Simon Hambley, Group CEO of Strata, said:
“Wonderland is a business we have admired for some time. Luisa, Susanne, and the team have built a female-led agency that combines creative bravery and design craft with commercial focus, proven on some of the most exciting brands in tech, fashion, beauty, and FMCG. Bringing Wonderland into the Strata Group deepens our creative offer, gives clients access to a bigger, more diverse team and broadens the sectors we can support. By bringing Wonderland into the Strata family, we’re backing an entrepreneurial, creatively led team and giving them the additional support and capabilities that come with being part of a wider group, enabling them to grow their reach and strengthen their position in the market.”

Lora Lutostanska-Enthoven, founder and outgoing owner of Wonderland, said:
“I built Wonderland outside the noise, not to chase relevance, but to shape it. It’s always been about instinct, ideas, and being disruptive. Building something that lasts means building the right team around you: talented, creative people with taste, judgement, and the confidence to challenge, and trusting them to carry the work forward as it grows. Time in this industry teaches you what adds value and what quietly takes it away. Growth only matters when it sharpens the work and protects the people; anything else is just expansion without intent. This next chapter is about focus. In Strata, we’ve found a partner that understands experiential and will protect the culture and the craft as we grow. Wonderland moves forward intact. The work stays dynamic. The culture holds. And the standard is non-negotiable, because that’s how you build something that outlives you.”

On Event Production Co opens scenic fabrication facility to boost capacity and client experience

On Event Production Co, the Castle Donington-based production and scenic fabrication specialist, has opened a new purpose-built scenic fabrication facility following significant investment in its Midlands operation. The new hub increases capacity, enhances quality control and enables the team to support a growing portfolio of exhibition, experiential, automotive, pharmaceutical and technology projects for agencies and brands across the UK.

On Event Production Co opened its scenic department in 2014 in response to growing demand for a single touchpoint that brought scenic build and technical production together with full control over quality, timelines and cost. The successful delivery of event sets and scenery, exhibitions and brand activations has driven continued growth in both space and resources, creating the need to move from the current shared warehouse into dedicated, purpose-designed facilities.

Two neighbouring units on the same industrial estate have now been stripped out and transformed into a dedicated scenic fabrication hub. The new facility includes extensive build space for large-scale projects, supported by purpose-built processes, digital technology for project tracking and dedicated facilities such as CNC machining and a spray booth. Offices, a meeting room and welfare areas complete the space, creating a modern, self-contained home for the scenic team.

The additional space allows On Event Production Co to deliver pre-event builds for full exhibition stands and larger experiential environments in-house, giving clients the opportunity to walk through, test and sign off projects before they go on site. The layout is designed to improve efficiency, strengthen cost management and maintain tighter control over quality, health and safety and finishing standards, while supporting rapid turnaround requirements.
The expansion follows sustained growth across exhibition, experiential and roadshow programmes delivered for agency and brand partners. Recent work includes designing and building touring roadshow assets for a global technology brand, enabling product experts to bring new handset features to life in call centres and retail environments across the UK.

Adam Dewhurst, Managing Director of On Event Production Co, said: “We have grown from a corner of a shared warehouse into a fully fledged scenic fabrication department, and this new facility is the next step in that journey. Demand from our agency partners and direct clients has been rising year on year, and we reached the point where we needed a space designed around how we actually build.

“The new hub gives us the ability to work smarter and at greater scale. We can deliver full pre-event builds, welcome clients in to fine-tune the creative and technical details, and keep multiple projects progressing without compromise. The combination of expanded space, purpose-built processes and digital project tracking means we can respond faster, manage costs more effectively and elevate quality across every stage of production.”

Being based in the Midlands, close to major road networks and the NEC, puts On Event Production Co in an ideal position to support brands and agencies nationwide who need a dependable scenic partner with the capacity to deliver ambitious work.

Strata delivers groundbreaking "Powered by Nature" installation for Peugeot at Saatchi Gallery

Peugeot presents Powered By Nature, an experience where nature and innovation come together. Drawing on Peugeot’s pioneering project of the same name, the world’s first photoshoot powered entirely by plants, soil, and water, this installation invites visitors to see the natural world through the eyes of bees.

Strata is proud to have conceptualised and delivered Powered by Nature: Allure Through a Bee’s Eyes at London’s Saatchi Gallery. This striking installation challenges visitors to see the world differently and reimagines how brand experience can connect innovation, sustainability and creativity.

Commissioned as part of Peugeot’s brand repositioning as a forward-thinking technology brand, the installation offers a bee’s-eye view of the natural world. Developed and installed by Strata, the experience blends science, art and biophilia in a journey that moves from human sight to ultraviolet vision, revealing the hidden signals bees use to navigate and survive.

At the heart of the experience is a bespoke dome installation, enhanced with UV-reactive planting, immersive soundscapes and a biophilic wall. These elements combine to evoke a rich sensory world alive with unseen patterns and pulsing energy. Also featured is imagery from the original Powered by Nature photoshoot by specialist photographer George Williams, which inspired the experience. Powered by 30 microbial fuel cells developed by Nova Innova, the shoot drew electricity from plants, water, soil and organic waste. A living light module captured energy from photosynthesising plants, storing it in rechargeable batteries.

Strata’s creative and production teams worked closely with Nova and photographer George Williams to bring this vision to life, drawing power from living plants, water and soil to illuminate the shoot. The installation was carefully adapted for the indoor gallery setting, maintaining a focus on sustainable design throughout. Also featured is work by contemporary artist Boo Saville, whose practice explores transformation and the natural cycles that connect all living systems.

“At the heart of the Peugeot brand is the concept of Allure. The partnership with the Saatchi Gallery and their Flowers season gave us the perfect opportunity to create an experience that shows the power of Allure within nature,” said Matt Cole, Executive Creative Director at Strata. “By shifting the perspective to a bee’s-eye view, we were able to tell a story about the natural world, technology and perception that feels both unexpected and completely in tune with Peugeot’s values.”

Zoe Peacock, Head of Brand Communications and Experience at Peugeot UK, said: “Powered by Nature is a first for Peugeot and a clear example of what strong collaboration can achieve. Strata understood our vision from the beginning, with the need to bring our Powered by Nature photo shoot of the E-5008 to life in a wider exhibition focused around sustainability and innovation. Strata delivered the exhibition in a creatively ambitious way, producing an immersive experience which is true to our values. It supports our position as a forward-thinking technology brand and captures the spirit of innovation that sits at the heart of Peugeot.”

Elevate NewGen, a talent development initiative from the team behind Elevate Mentoring, has partnered with Diversity Alliance to launch a landmark survey exploring diversity in the UK events sector. The survey focuses on race and socio-economic background, aiming to fill a critical data gap around lived experience in the workplace.

Designed for 18 to 25-year-olds from underrepresented backgrounds, the initiative reimagines a decade of mentoring success to support those at the very start of their careers. The survey can be completed by individuals or adopted by organisations looking to better understand their workforce. Its findings will provide a foundation for more inclusive recruitment, progression and retention strategies across the industry.

Gabby Austen Browne, Founder of Diversity Alliance, explained why the partnership matters:
“Growing up in a single-parent family on a council estate, being the first in my family to attend university, and entering the events industry as a woman of colour, I’ve experienced barriers that many pretend don’t exist. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s fuelled my passion to create the change I wish I’d seen. I’ve partnered with Elevate NewGen because I believe in their commitment to building pathways for underrepresented talent and goal to applicable insight to tackle the systemic challenges limiting diversity across our industry.”
Since its original launch by Max Fellows and Mel Noakes, the Elevate Mentoring programme has supported more than 2,000 people into the industry. NewGen takes this further by reaching those who often lack the networks, visibility or guidance to get started.

Evie Manuel, who helps lead Elevate NewGen, said: “Elevate NewGen is more than just a mentoring programme. It’s about real access, visibility and opportunity for young people who are often overlooked. Too many talented individuals are ready to contribute to our industry but don’t know where to start. This survey is a vital step in understanding those barriers and helping to drive the structural change we all say we want to see.”
The initiative has been backed by key industry bodies, including the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) and creative agency We Are Collider.

Heather Lishman, Association Director at ABPCO, said: “We’re proud to support this important initiative. As an association committed to professional excellence and inclusive practice, we recognise the need for robust data to truly understand where barriers exist. This survey is a vital step towards creating a more representative and welcoming industry for all.”

Anton Jerges, Founder and CEO of We Are Collider, one of the primary sponsors of the initiative, added: “Representation cannot be improved without understanding the realities people face. This survey gives our industry a chance to look honestly at itself and take action where it matters. We’re backing this because meaningful change requires more than intention, it requires insight.”
Fully anonymous, the survey will help shape industry benchmarks and guide frameworks for a more inclusive and equitable events sector.

Strata appointed brand experience agency for OMODA and JAECOO UK launch

Strata has been appointed as the brand experience agency for OMODA and JAECOO in the UK, overseeing the full 2025 events calendar for both automotive brands. Owned by Chery Automobile, China’s fourth largest carmaker, this marks a major UK market entry and positions Strata at the heart of a integrated launch programme.

The scope of work includes end-to-end event delivery, production, and creative strategy. The programme will include multiple vehicle launches, lifestyle and national events, sponsorship activations, and media test drive support.

This is more than a single campaign. It is a fully integrated agency relationship, positioning Strata as the lead partner for all UK launch and experiential work tied to the ambitious growth of OMODA & JAECOO in the region.

This major client win further cements Strata’s position as a leader in the UK experiential and events sector. The appointment follows the successful JAECOO 7 launch in January and a competitive pitch process that saw Strata come out on top across all evaluation areas, including creativity, automotive expertise, flexibility, case studies, and team capability.

Strata’s proposal was built around a shared creative framework that gave both OMODA & JAECOO a consistent core while allowing each to express its individual brand identity. The agency also demonstrated how its integrated delivery model and close collaboration with partner agencies would deliver both efficiency and impact.

Strata’s track record in the automotive sector, with experience currently across 23 brands, was a key differentiator in the decision. Its ability to offer a single-agency model delivering full-service support was also a decisive factor.

This win is a testament to the strength of Strata’s proposition and a reflection of its collaborative, embedded approach. The success was made possible by the combined efforts of creative, production, technical, event operations, marketing, logistics, and client service teams.

Victor Zhang, UK Country Director OMODA & JAECOO UK commented: "Strata has been instrumental in helping OMODA & JAECOO achieve an ambitious launch schedule with flair, originality and quality. Together, we are working to make a real impact on the UK's automotive landscape."

Strata acquires Element London and raises investment to fund further expansion

Strata, the award-winning brand experience agency, has acquired Element London and raised significant investment to fund further acquisitions and international expansion.

Element is a market-leading prize, reward and incentive specialist with more than 15 years’ experience in delivering promotions, activations and reward programmes for leading global brands in FMCG, entertainment, finance, technology and telecoms. The company – founded by Max Lee and Oliver Duval – creates and fulfils bespoke promotional prizes for competitions and reward programmes to drive brand awareness and customer loyalty.

Element is also established within corporate incentive travel. It creates trips to all corners of the globe for high-performing teams, influencers, industry groups and media delegations. These range from luxury travel for small groups to trips for hundreds of sales staff, and when coupled with consumer travel prizes for brand promotion, a large proportion of Element’s delivery is in planning and sourcing travel, accommodation and group activities.

Strata’s acquisition of Element – specifically its experience in consumer brand promotions – bolsters the agency’s ability to work with an increasing number of clients who want to source a broad range of skills and capabilities through one touchpoint. Furthermore, the purchase enables Strata to tap into Element’s strong international client base across Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific providing access to new global networks and audiences.

Max Lee and Oliver Duval, co-founders of Element, said: “In Strata, we have found an ideal partner for the next stage of our growth plans. We were looking for a team that could not only introduce us to new clients and sectors but also complement the expertise we have in-house.

“When we started talking with Strata, it soon became apparent that the group valued the skillset we had established and wished to form a true partnership. But what’s more, Strata is currently innovating in the performance management and incentive space, too, which makes us so excited for the future.”

Hambley continued: “Our incorporation of Element within the Strata Group is also important because it signals our intention to play a key part in an ever-changing and fast-growing brand experience sector.

“Every year, over the last five years, we have shown dynamic growth that is above the industry average of 20 per cent. This is why we have recently attracted multi-million-pound investment from growth investor Ethos Partners.

“It understands our strategic ambitions, and its support will allow us to continue our growth trajectory, which includes an accelerated acquisition strategy. Now, our newly expanded team and I will get on with executing this long-term plan, inspiring our growing client portfolio to come on this journey with us.

Elevate mentoring opens doors for underrepresented young talent with NewGen initiative

Elevate, the pioneering not-for-profit mentorship programme that has supported and inspired nearly 2,000 event professionals since its inception eight years ago, announces the launch of Elevate NewGen, a brand new initiative to provide equal access to the events industry for underrepresented talent aged 18-25.

NewGen is a free, three-month part-time programme which includes mentoring, work experience, training, and a supportive community. It helps provide career pathways that offer equal access into the industry and help young people land a paid placement, apprenticeship or a full-time job. It was activated last week at the UK Creative Festival in Margate, which celebrates and showcases the world-beating creativity of the UK sector at every level, from those excelling in their fields to the young creatives who are the architects of the future.

Evie Manuel, the commercial director of Event Concept, and industry veteran Peter Kerwood are leading the project. Kerwood said: “Evie and I believe that talent is distributed equally, but opportunities are not, and that’s damaging to the events industry. It’s a problem that’s not going to fix itself, so powered by the Elevate community, we’re going to do something about it.”
Jonathan Emmins, Elevate advisory board member and Founder and Global CEO of Amplify commented: "As we navigate turbulent times, with societal gaps ever widening, never have we needed schemes such as Elevate NewGen more. The world is a lot easier to navigate if someone shows you the map. I count myself incredibly lucky that along my journey, people have willingly and freely offered guidance and believed in me at those times when I most needed counsel or was doubting myself. We ALL have a responsibility to both pass the baton on and to collectively help level the playing field."

Applications to join the NewGen programme are now open:
· Tailored specifically for young people facing barriers in entering the industry.
· NewGen programme will provide career pathways for talent aged 18-25

. The course begins in September.

Lea Karam Strata

Strata event tells marketers they must adopt inclusive and diverse content strategies

Engaging content works best when it goes beyond demographics, but to achieve that today’s savvy event and marcomms professionals must create content that cuts through the digital noise that so many consumers experience. This statement was just one of the many discussed at Sea Containers London last month (June 26) when an invited audience gathered for an exclusive insights event hosted by Strata, the award-winning brand experience agency.

Titled “Unlocking the Future of Content”, the event – comprised of a keynote and panel discussion – examined behavioural science principles, content strategy and messaging.

Strata invited Lea Karam (pictured), a multi-award-winning behavioural scientist and consulting director at Behave, the human insights agency, to deliver a keynote discussing a changing marketing landscape where all the stages – awareness, purchase, discovery, and consideration – can occur simultaneously.

“The marketing funnel and marketing ecosystem have changed,” explained Karam at the Strata event. “It's not a funnel anymore. It's a loop. Awareness and action were part of the traditional funnel. At the moment, awareness and purchase and for example, discovery and consideration can happen at the same time. People can know about your event and they can know about your brand. They can know about your purpose before you even speak about it. So it's really important to know that if you want to speak to a specific audience, you need to get them where they are. You need to get them in their psychological behavioural ecosystem and resonate with them differently.”

According to Karam, revamped digital platforms have disrupted the way we communicate with different markets and changed the behaviour of target audiences. Therefore, event and marcomms professionals must understand behavioural triggers to be authentic.

Karam's keynote speech focused on the purpose and impact of content in today's digital ecosystem and discussed the paradox of choice, illustrating how an overload of options can lead to decision paralysis. She also stressed that inclusivity and diversity of thought are essential for creating content that truly connects with key demographics and suggested leveraging influencers and the creator economy to build trust and engagement.

Karam continued: “Skipping audience mapping and community-building homework won’t work. It will only make content strategies fall short. Audience mapping is so important, because if you don't understand who you're speaking to, their triggers, and their passion points, you're going to end up speaking to Ozzy Osborne and King Charles [same age, same gender and part of the same mosaic group] at the same time and create content that would resonate with the whole world. That's not the point.”

She added: “There's a lot you can do to find those nuances and connect with people. I recommend leveraging predictive technology but we need to differentiate between generative AI and predictive AI. Generative AI is text-generated ChatGPT and content-generated images and videos. Predictive AI predicts patterns. It predicts behaviours. It's all the aggregated nuggets of information that we can get to get those nuances. Predictive AI is important because it gives you a real view of your consumers.”

Karam told the audience that effective content strategies require continuous audience insights. Technology is an enabler. However, whilst technology is a great resource that can facilitate engagement, it cannot replace human touch and interaction that drives conversion and decisions and creates trust, Karam warned.

Commenting on the event and Karam’s keynote, Giles Cattle, director of creative, strategy and business development at Strata, said: “Lea’s keynote speech was incredibly insightful. Our guests were blown away by the great examples she shared and were grateful for the takeaways that will help them to develop relatable event and content strategies, with our help of course.

“For example, did you know that 81 per cent of consumers are on the lookout for events recommended by communities or social creators? That’s why it’s paramount to create relevant content that is both diverse and inclusive.”

Cattle continued: “This is our second year hosting these events, allowing our guests to discover new ideas and the latest insight. I am certain that they appreciated this exclusive opportunity to listen, network, and debate the points raised by Lea.

“Brands can’t achieve true engagement without experiences that connect and captivate. For years, we have all been saying how content is king. Therefore, events are the perfect opportunity to foster that culture of belonging that so many audiences crave.”
