BBC award ACP Productions event management contract for Edinburgh Festival Fringe

ACPProductionsACP Productions has been contracted to deliver full event management for the BBC at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013. The company will be responsible for event delivery, site management, stage management, build and breakdown and coordinating other stakeholders on site.

The event site, which has previously encompassed a fully functioning backstage broadcast facility, main venue, secondary venue, radio studio, bar, catering concessions, production offices and public garden area, will be open throughout August.

Scottie McKean, ACP project manager, said: “Having managed the event for two previous years, we are delighted to have been awarded the event contract once again. We are looking forward to working with the BBC to deliver their aspirations and make this year even better than the last!”

Of paramount importance is the ability to carefully design a safe site taking in to consideration the BBC’s aspiration of a vibrant, engaging space for the public, as well as fulfilling the requirements of a huge number of production teams across BBC Radio and TV.

ACP Productions Ltd provides site and stage management throughout the month, as well as a skilled build and breakdown team, meeting the BBC’s high standards of health & safety and coordinating a large number of high profile stakeholders.

In 2012 BBC at Edinburgh Festival Fringe saw 100,000 visitors on its site across 24 days, with 500 hours of broadcast content created. On site the public could attend media masterclasses, live radio broadcasts and music and comedy shows.
