Brighton Marathon Exhibition sees visitor figures increase by 140 per cent

The second Brighton Marathon Exhibition has been hailed a success after attendance increased from 7,000 to 17,000.

The event, which took place last weekend, saw a new two-day format.

Exhibitor figures increased by 30 per cent with sport retailers such as Wiggle and Gore taking exhibition space.

“Last year’s Brighton Marathon Exhibition was a great success, but this year’s show defied all our expectations,” said Matt Hudson, Generate Events, the exhibition’s organiser. “We were delighted that so many of the running brands, retailers and charities, who were with us in 2011, chose to return with even bigger and better stands this year.

“These, coupled with a range of new exhibitors and attractions, made for an inspiring and exciting event. From the moment we opened on the Friday visitors were left in no doubt that the Brighton Marathon weekend was well and truly underway!”

The fourth Brighton Marathon takes place on April 14, 2013.
