Camley joins Olympic Park Legacy Company
Mark Camley, former chief executive of The Royal Parks Agency, has been appointed as director of park operations at the Olympic Park Legacy Company. He will be responsible for the running of around 250 acres of open space on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park including parklands, waterways and public spaces.
Camley’s role includes ensuring that the park’s transport connections, maintenance and events all work smoothly to ensure a high quality experience for visitors and the local community.
Camley said: “This is an extraordinary time to be joining the Legacy Company as plans for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park takes shape. To be part of one of Europe’s largest regeneration project is a great opportunity. I want to create a park that is loved by local communities and is visited again and again.”
At The Royal Parks Agency, Mark oversaw some of London’s most significant events such as the Royal Wedding, Live 8 and Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park.
