Casa Italia, the home of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) for the duration of the London 2012 Olympics, has opened its doors to the public.

Based at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, until August 12, visitors can enter Italy’s house for free from noon until 8pm and check out live action, performance and sponsor activity on the ground, first, second and fifth floors.

The first floor will house an area dedicated to each of the sponsors – Banca Intesa, Fiat Group Automobiles, Italian luxury brand EA7 Emporio Armani and Kinder. EA7 Emporio Armani is the sponsor and official outfitter of the Italian Olympic and Paralympic team and will have an onsite merchandise store on the first floor. This retail outlet is the only location in the UK where visitors can purchase the official EA7 Italian Olympic merchandise.

The second floor has been transformed into the Italian Experience – where visitors can discover how sustainability has played an important role in Italian products, resources and technology and experience Italy for themselves with wine and food tasting from the regions.

The fifth floor will hold a Banca Intensa exhibition of Italian photography. Through the lenses of the Magnum photographers, visitors can see a snapshot of Italy.
