Co-operative to sponsor Liverpool Pride

The Co-operative Group is to headline sponsor Liverpool Pride and is just one of 15 UK pride events that the retail giant will support in 2012.

The Co-operative’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employee network group, Respect, will feature in the parade on August 4, describing the pride events as a great way to spread the group’s messages of equality.

Orb Events has been awarded the tender to manage the sponsor and partner relations for Liverpool Pride 2012. The event will take place on Liverpool’s Pier Head. Orb Events is calling out to the businesses of Liverpool, Merseyside and the Northwest to show their support for the event and help to keep the festival – which attracted over 35,000 people in 2011 – free for all to attend.
