Company Car in Action to celebrate milestone year at Millbrook
Millbrook is to host Company Car in Action, as it returns to the proving ground to celebrate its 21st anniversary. The annual event for fleet managers will see vehicle manufacturers and over 1,000 professionals looking at company transport needs gather from June 11-12.
The Fleet News event will see exclusive launches and provide the opportunity to drive many new vehicles on Millbrook’s test tracks. For the first time, this year’s event will enable manufacturers, which are advanced in the development of hydrogen and electric vehicles, to demonstrate their vehicles as part of the aptly named Hydrogen Experience. Experts from the University of Birmingham will also be bringing a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to showcase this technology to fleet managers.
The event will also examine the “future of fleet” with a concept car display, where fleet managers can experience the latest safety equipment, including autonomous braking, in the experimental area, Company Car in Action’s playground of new technology.
“As one of Europe’s leading locations for vehicle development, Millbrook Proving Ground has been the obvious location for CCIA for the past 21 years,” explains Sandra Evitt, event manager for Company Car in Action 2013. “We wanted to make this year’s event the best yet and so for 2013 it is not all about the cars. Over the course of the two days we will also be utilising Millbrook’s venues to run a number of ‘how to’ seminars, giving delegates the opportunity to gain business knowledge with short blasts of innovation and quick wins that will get them thinking.”
