Not-for-profit event organisers get dedicated exhibition

A brand new exhibition for not-for-profit events and conference professionals is to open at the Business Design Centre, London, September 25. Delegates are being encouraged to learn from the in-depth experience of sector experts via a free seminar programme.

The event, created by NFP Events, is the latest concept from Conference House, which hopes to educate organisers of not-for-profit events in ways of generating additional incomes and event management techniques.

Seminars include Charity Challenge’s advice on how to minimise events risk, the Methodist Church’s account of how it doubled its audience through webcasting, advice on how to monetise hybrid events from Richard John, and an assessment of the potential of near field technology from sponsor Smart AV.

Michael Webb, the show’s exhibition director, said: “As charities and associations look for new ways to boost income many are venturing into the events arena. This can be a complex area in terms of generating a healthy return – especially for organisations that are new to the discipline. By enabling delegates to discover what works and what doesn’t we equip them to make decisions that will ensure they invest their resources wisely.”
