EBL and AIF collaborate to champion independent festivals
Event Buyers Live, the must-attend industry event for live event professionals, is collaborating with the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) for the 2023 edition of the event. This exciting partnership brings together two leading organisations dedicated to advancing the event and festival industry.
Event Buyers Live, which connects event organisers, suppliers, and industry experts, has chosen to join forces with AIF, the festival trade association representing the interests of 105 UK music festivals, ranging from 500 to 80,000 capacity.
Both EBL and AIF are committed to combining their expertise and sharing best practices to benefit the wider events industry with the aim of encouraging greater collaboration and fostering deeper relationships.
The partnership sees AIF’s CEO John Rostron (pictured) facilitate a festival-focused roundtable at Event Buyers Live at Carden Park, Cheshire.
What’s more, AIF will use EBL as the ideal base to host its hybrid AGM, where its festival members will gather to discuss the challenges impacting the festival sector and important association business.
Rostron said: “AIF is excited to collaborate with Event Buyers Live, an industry event that has consistently demonstrated its commitment to nurturing strong relationships, fostering innovation, and promoting growth. We believe this partnership will enable us to not only broaden our reach and share our expertise, but also advocate best practices, and further our mission of championing independent festivals.”
With a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and the sharing of ideas, AIF’s contribution to Event Buyers Live 2023 promises to enrich the event’s content and discussions, which include sessions dedicated to safeguarding, Protect Duty, creating immersive experiences, supply chain relationships, sustainability, and event operations.
Neil Fagg, founder of Event Buyers Live, said: “We are thrilled to partner with AIF for Event Buyers Live 2023. AIF’s dedication to supporting independent festivals aligns perfectly with our own mission, which is to facilitate meaningful connections and promote innovation within the event industry. Together, I am certain that we will provide attendees with an unparalleled opportunity to learn, network, and engage with the industry’s brightest minds and most influential organisations.”
