Emmaus Safe welcomes Helen McCabe as its new health and safety lead, bringing nearly two decades of experience supporting safety and compliance across world-class live events, venues, and global sporting environments.
Helen’s career includes significant safety responsibilities across major international projects, contributing her expertise to environments such as the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Rugby World Cup, Chelsea Flower Show, and the Baku European Games. She has also held senior safety roles for WWE and Universal Music Group, where she was integral to developing safe, effective, and operationally realistic systems for large-scale productions.
What sets Helen apart is her philosophy: safety should empower, not restrict. Her people-first, pragmatic approach prioritises confidence, wellbeing, and real-world application — ensuring safety becomes a lived part of everyday culture rather than an administrative requirement.
Her impact has been recognised nationally, with a nomination for Woman of the Year at the Safety & Health Excellence Awards, affirming her commitment to raising standards and supporting the workforce across the sector.
At Emmaus Safe, Helen strengthens the organisation’s Health, Safety & Governance pillar, helping clients across events, sport, and corporate environments build safer, more effective systems that protect people and enable performance.

“Safety isn’t about rules on a page, it’s about people feeling confident, supported, and able to do their best work. My focus has always been on systems that serve people, not the other way around.”
