The organiser of Event Buyers Live (EBL) has enlisted a team of industry professionals to help support guests at this year’s event.

Ten Eventprofs – who all have first-hand experience of EBL – have been personally selected to act as an extension of the EBL team. So, if you never attend industry events because walking into a room of strangers is too much, don’t worry.

Acting as an approachable buddy and welfare point of contact, Saward Marketing and Events’ Jack Saward – an event ambassador in 2025 – steps into a newly created role for 2026. He will support delegates who would like some guidance or reassurance, facilitating introductions, and helping attendees to gain maximum value from the event (November 9-11, Carden Park).

Saward (pictured at Event Buyers Live 2024) says: “I have first-hand experience of EBL and understand the value that can come from the connections made at the event. When people feel comfortable, great things can happen.

“My personal experience of the event has been so positive that I have embraced EBL wholeheartedly, introducing people I know to each other and ensuring others feel welcome and included,” he adds.

Saward will assist the EBL team alongside a group of new ambassadors for 2026, respected and knowledgeable #Eventprofs who have experienced EBL before. Hence, they understand just how daunting industry events can be.

They include Method Events’ Cassandra Frey-Mills, The Great Run Company’s Nigel Gough, Southampton International Boat Show’s Jasmine Hill, GemFest’s Sam Morgan, City of Lincoln Council’s Claire McDowall, EURO2028’s Marlon Trotman, Superstruct’s Kevin Moore, Happy Place Festival’s Hester Dunkley, and the Association of Independent Festivals’ John Rostron.

Frey-Mills, business operations manager at Method Events, says: “EBL is so welcoming and genuinely people-first. Networking events can often feel intimidating, which doesn’t work for everyone. Having been invited to be an ambassador, it felt right to help foster that same inviting atmosphere I’ve always experienced. I genuinely look forward to catching up with incredible people and hearing all about their past year!”

Hill, event director of Southampton International Boat Show, shares Frey-Mills’ passion for learning from others. She says: “I genuinely love meeting other from within the same industry and learning from one another. EBL is a great place for this. By being an ambassador, I hope to share my experience with others and be a support.”

Moore, Y Not’s festival director, concurs: “I have always found EBL to be a valuable use of time. The structure of the event is well complemented by the guidance of the ambassadors who have always made me feel very welcome.

“With a few editions of Event Buyers Live now under my belt, I was very flattered when asked to be an ambassador and felt like it was only right to take on the responsibility and do my bit to help this year’s attendees navigate their way through the event.”

EBL’s Janine Walmsley – recently been promoted from delegate manager to event manager – hopes to make every guest’s experience productive, enjoyable, and valuable.

She explains: “Creating a great event isn’t just about finding a beautiful venue, it’s about understanding the flow, the little details, and making sure guests feel that their needs and experience have been thought of.”

Walmsley continues. “We take the time to get to know everyone, organisers and suppliers, and we do as much as we possibly can to personalise the experience to make sure it’s productive and a beneficial use of your time out of the office.”

Hosted buyer registration for the three-day industry event opened on September 1.

EBL returns to Carden Park, Cheshire, from November 9-11 with a packed programme of pre-arranged supplier meetings, valuable content, including a dedicated Martyn’s Law workshop, and relaxed networking. If you are sourcing suppliers for 2027 and beyond, register now.
