Exhibition main contractor and logistics specialist Exhibit 3Sixty has announced a significant expansion of its operational footprint with the acquisition of a second dedicated unit at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).

The new unit will serve as the primary storage hub for Exhibit 3Sixty’s extensive stock of shell scheme, truss, and structural metalwork used across major exhibitions and trade shows. Operating primarily to support events at the NEC, the strategically located hub also provides efficient, rapid access to key regional venues such as Manchester Central.

This expansion allows Exhibit 3Sixty to re-engineer its original NEC site into a specialised logistics staging hub. By corralling and consolidating exhibitor assets at off-site staging units prior to venue delivery, Exhibit 3Sixty significantly reduces the number of concurrent delivery vehicles accessing venues, alleviating site congestion and cutting transport emissions.

The benefits of this managed delivery model were recently demonstrated at Hillhead – the quarrying show held in Buxton, where restricted site access required strict management of vehicle movements. By consolidating exhibitor freight at the off-site unit, which is fully equipped with its own forklift for rapid handling, Exhibit 3Sixty successfully managed timed, phased deliveries, ensuring seamless logistics for organisers and exhibitors alike.

“When managing complex events, high volumes of individual delivery vehicles create unnecessary congestion and environmental impact,” said Matt Williams, logistics director at Exhibit 3Sixty. “For a recent event at ExCeL London, we were tasked with transporting exhibits for 25 different exhibitors. By using our consolidated staging concept, we eliminated the need for 24 additional separate vehicles arriving at the venue simultaneously. Expanding our footprint at the NEC gives us the capacity to scale this managed approach, making trade show logistics smoother, greener, and far more reliable for everyone involved.”

The addition of the second unit and the new Mercedes Sprinter van marks the latest phase in Exhibit 3Sixty’s commitment to providing dependable, end-to-end exhibition services across the UK.
