Festival organisers award event services contracts

VFestivalTwo of the UK’s largest festivals have revealed details of contract awards.

Roseclaim has awarded Showsec the contract to supply full stewarding and security at V Festival, Weston Park Staffordshire. Showsec will provide upwards of 1,000 security staff to the main festival site and campsites, using combined festival security experience and knowledge to provide a customer-focussed service.

The two-day V Festival, now in its 18th year, is one of the UK’s most popular music events.

V Festival production manager, Andy Redhead commented: “I’m delighted we have appointed Showsec as our security and stewarding supplier for the V Festival in Weston Park. They have proven capability to implement modern festival security consistently with a balance of security and understanding the behaviour of a festival audience”

We are already engaged in extensive planning with Roseclaim and Staffordshire Police in agreeing the relevant parameters to ensure the highest service levels are in place to deliver a professional service to the ticket-buying public.

Peppermint Bars has also revealed that it has been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver more than 10 bars at Barclaycard British Summer Time this July, when the brand new event opens its gates in Hyde Park. AEG Live awarded the contract to Peppermint, which will serve everything from cocktails to specialist craft beers.

Bon Jovi and The Rolling Stones will headline Barclaycard British Summer Time when it takes place in Hyde Park from July 5 to 14. Bon Jovi will play the event on July 5. The Rolling Stones will play the event on July 6 as well as a brand new date – July 13.

Barclaycard British Summer Time, organised by AEG Live, will feature four themed zones, each with its own installations and entertainment, bars, food outlets and “bespoke salons”.

Barclaycard has signed a full five-year exclusive partnership with AEG and The Royal Parks to be the headline sponsor for Barclaycard British Summer Time.
