First Stand Out magazine karting event hailed a success

StandOutkartingMore than 120 events professionals took to Buckmore Park karting track yesterday to take part in the first ever Stand Out magazine karting endurance event.

Twenty-four industry teams pitted their driving skills in a three-hour endurance race, which eventually saw Bison Print take the top spot followed by PSW Events in second and SFL Group in third.

The adrenaline-packed day allowed events industry professionals the opportunity to experience some fun and network at the same time.

Neil Fagg, publisher of Stand Out magazine, said: “The events industry is a sociable one and it recognises the importance of face-to-face.

“The Stand Out magazine endurance karting event at Buckmore Park was a great ice breaker, and it allowed many events professionals to meet for the first time and make new business contacts. But not only that, it allowed individuals the chance to take part in a fun activity that made people work together as teams because they had to work out re-fuelling and pit stop strategies also.”

Fagg continued: “The karting event was such a success that we are already planning next year’s event, which will see even more industry professionals come together. This event is one of many exciting events and announcements that we have planned for the coming year, as Stand Out prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

“We will be making more announcements in the coming weeks, so I urge people to keep their eyes peeled for some interesting and exciting developments. Yet, in the meantime, check out our great picture gallery, see who you can spot and if you’d like to be involved in our next karting event, please contact the team.”
