Ford use Imagination to create Sweeney Big Screen experience

Imagination created a Ford Big Screen experience at Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, drawing on exclusive clips from upcoming film The Sweeney, starring Ray Winstone and Plan B.

The agency took inspiration from Ford’s ST range, creating a festival experience and showing clips from the new movie. Visitors then had the opportunity to appear in a Sweeney-themed green screen activation, which could then be shared and uploaded via Facebook and Twitter.

Said Zoe Gordon, project director, Imagination: “Goodwood is a family friendly event for people with a passion for speed and cars. It has been a great opportunity for us to create a truly experiential brand immersion by maximising an existing marketing partnership between Ford and The Sweeney, bringing it to life in a way that appeals to a wide audience of visitors.”

During the event, stunt drivers and Red Bull’s Mark Webber performed a series of car stunts on the Goodwood track, entertaining automotive fans with high energy driving in a Ford Fiesta and Mondeo. The performance was designed to promote The Sweeney, which is due for release in September.
