TechFestOrganisers looking to discover the latest event technology and hands-on tech demonstrations are being urged to attend the second ever Tech Fest.

The event’s organiser, Gallus Events, has announced plans for its second outing on July 18 and 19 following a successful first event in June 2012.

Tech Fest brings together event organisers with cutting-edge event technology for two days of hands on experiences and structured networking at etc.venues’ Dexter House, Tower Hill.

Invitations to pre-register have been offered initially to the Gallus Events LinkedIn Group, Making Good Organisers Great, in anticipation of high demand for places.  Tech Fest 2012 sold out in just six weeks using social media and attracted 140 attendees.

Tech Fest founder, William Thomson commented: “The appropriate use of technology can have a huge positive impact on all types of events and it is crucial that we encourage the awareness of new technology that allows organisers to add more value to the business they work for: Tech Fest is an excellent vehicle for this.”

Speakers will include Julius Solaris, editor of the Event Manager Blog, who will be discussing event technology trends and Stefania Conti-Vecchi of event technology strategists Eventagist, who will look at how to run an event on an i-Pad using only free apps.

Content for the first day of Tech Fest will focus on technologies that can be used pre-event to attract attendees, add value to stakeholders and assist in earning revenue. Day two will look at the uses of technology during an event, such as keeping attendees engaged, helping them to learn and assisting with networking.

Mobile app builder Twoppy will be demonstrating its mobile event programme creator, while SMS and Internet voting system providers Sendsteps will be showcasing its interactive software. Attendees will also have the opportunity to get hands-on with The Spray Paint Wall and many other cutting-edge technologies.
