Ghostwriter appoints to bolster expanding events portfolio
Ghostwriter Consultancy and Events has appointed a general venue business manager and a marketing coordinator to support the company’s growth of its venue partnerships, events and consultancy business.
Ade Dovey has been appointed as general venue business manager with direct responsibility for Marble Factory (1,350) in Bristol whilst Nina Burrell also joins the team as marketing coordinator to support the company’s venue estate and wider projects.
Richard Maides, director of events, said: “We are delighted to announce that Ade will be joining us at Ghostwriter. He brings considerable experience from his previous key operational and programming roles in the industry. Being a respected promoter and a first-class creative venue manager, Ade is a welcome addition to our team. His success, evolving unique venue spaces such as The Deaf Institute, Gorilla and The Albert Hall in Manchester, demonstrated to us that he was the perfect fit for our aims in Bristol.”
Dovey will lead on the Marble Factory whilst also contributing to the wider business.
Maides continued: “The Marble Factory has enjoyed significant success since the inception of our partnership with the venue owners in 2020, quickly establishing itself as a regular stop off on the UK touring circuit. Moving forward our focus is to diversify the venue’s programme with exciting new events and client partnerships, whilst continuing to improve our support for promoters and artists who choose to utilise the venue.
“Following significant investment in the venue with enhanced production and backstage facilities we will now adopt a flexible approach in terms of rentals and use of space. We believe that the appointment of Ade will help us move the business forward in a number of areas.”
Commenting on Burrell’s appointment, Carl Bathgate, commercial director of Ghostwriter, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nina to the team in our new marketing coordinator role. Nina will support our promoting department Pink Dot and other brands such as Live After Racing along with our partner venues and the promoters and artists that choose to use them. This new role acknowledges the importance of a coherent marketing strategy across all platforms both online and in print media and the added value they can deliver across all facets of our business and its creation very much reflects that.
“Nina joins us with a host of marketing experience at both Silverbean Marketing Agency and SSD Concerts where she held various marketing and PR roles. We look forward to working alongside her in order to strengthen the marketing support we can offer to our artists, clients, brands and partners.”
