Henley Festival awards Interforce security contract
Interforce, the security specialist, formerly TSG, will provide uniformed patrols at Henley Festival this summer – after securing the deal at Event Buyers Live.
Interforce will provide uniformed patrols to ensure public safety and the prevention of crime and disorder at the festival. John Harris, production manager at Henley Festival, met Interforce at Event Buyers Live and brought the company into the festival’s restructured security model.
At Henley, Interforce officers will deliver a “practiced, profile level of reassurance” while ensuring the event’s zero tolerance on drugs and underage drinking. Harris commented: “We hope that Interforce, which is trained to a higher level than SIA, with a police style approach, will respond to our audience and ensure we continue to meet the high standards Henley Festival is renowned for.”
The contract win comes after the company’s recent rebrand to Interforce, which “distinguishes the company’s events, venues and public space remit from the police’s tactical/territorial support group arm, which is also abbreviated to TSG”.
David Boswell, managing director of Interforce, said: “We’re busier than ever, which is a product of business development manager, Duncan Cullen, explaining the rebrand to clients and potential clients, highlighting Interforce’s weight of unique selling points and detailing our experience across the event model.
“Interforce is a versatile organisation working in partnership to reduce risk, reduce vulnerability and help deliver safe, secure events. We’re delighted to be in the mix with the other proven parts of Henley Festival’s security effort and we’re really looking forward to the 2019 edition.”
