Lindsay Impett

Impett joins International Netball Federation as head of events

The International Netball Federation (INF) has appointed Lindsay Impett as head of events.

From February 1, Impett will be working three days a week on behalf of the INF in conjunction with INF Member netball associations and Regional Federations to ensure INF and other international netball events are delivered to world class standards. She will also support the federation with the development of an event portfolio.

Impett joins INF most recently from World Lacrosse where, as director of events, she was responsible for the creation of the delivery strategy for a new discipline (Lacrosse Sixes) as part of the sport’s “Olympic Ambition”. She led the process of risk assessment and postponement of the 2020 International Events Programme due to COVID-19.

Prior to this Impett held executive responsibility for the Vitality Netball World Cup, which sold more than 110,000 tickets and created a global celebration of the sport in the summer of 2019.

Impett has also worked on a variety of other major international sporting events, including as a venue general manager of the Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics venue at the London 2012 Olympic Games and as event director of the European Archery Championships in the UK.
