Industry professionals graduate with crowd safety management honours

A host of professionals from the crowd safety management and event industries have graduated with BA (Hons) and Foundation Degrees in Crowd Safety Management from Buckinghamshire New University.

This year’s graduates on the BA (Hons) degree were: Nick Dymond, managing director of Diamond Security; Andy Fraser, consultant crowd safety manager at Fraser Associates; Andy Hollinson, crowd safety consultant at Response Security Solutions; Peter Jordan, managing director of PJ Production Services (Ireland); Colin Lish, director of tour security at Headline Security Management; Gary Masters, security and traffic operations manager in venue management at The NEC; Luca Nalewaj, crowd safety consultant at; Morten Therkildsen, crowd safety manager and senior advisor at ComCom Safety (Denmark); David White, tour and event security consultant at Headline Security Management (HSM) Ltd; and Michael White, licensing manager at Test Valley Borough Council.

Tony Duncan, tour security director for Lady Gaga’s The Born This Way Ball tour, and Jon Jacobsen, managing director of SOS Security, in Norway, also graduated in MSc Business Risk and Continuity Management.

Bucks New University is the home of the International Centre For Crowd Management and Security Studies and students on both the BA (Hons) and foundation degrees are taught by industry figures including: Tony Ball, managing director of Show & Event Security; Mark Hamilton, director of events at G4S; and Dr Mick Upton, founding chairman of Showsec International.
