Innovation lounge has crate appeal
WhiteCircle has created a bespoke structure for offshore manufacturer Parker using an up-cycled shipping container.
The brief was to create a portable innovation lounge using two 40-foot WhiteCrate containers that the company could use at the Offshore Euroe event.
WhiteCircle designed a bespoke structure, removing the long side of each container, sealing them together to create an event space in excess of 70 square metres.
The containers were branded and fitted out with heating, air conditioning, custom LED lighting and glazing before being shipped from WhiteCircle’s workshop in Milton Keynes to Aberdeen for the week-long event.
Following the show, the lounge was boxed up, and sent on the road to its permanent home in Barnstable, Devon, where Parker plans to use the structure as business space.
