Joy Concerts to deliver Black Deer Festival

Brighton’s Joy Concerts has been awarded the contract to deliver Black Deer Festival, including the full event management, programming, technical production, and marketing. The new operator will handle every aspect of the event’s delivery, embarking on what is described as an “exciting chapter” for the festival.

Founded in 2018, Black Deer Festival has won awards such as Music Event of the Year at the 2019 Event Production Awards and Promoter of the Year at the 2022 UK Festival Awards.

Joy Concerts is a concert and festival organiser whose team has been delivering events around the UK for the past 15 years for some of the world’s leading artists. Producing around 200 concerts and festivals per annum across a broad spectrum of genres, Joy Concerts promote Brighton’s annual On The Beach Festival (60,000 capacity) as well as operating Concorde2 (650 capacity), an independent grassroots music venues.

Gill Tee, co-founder of Black Deer, will now be engaged in a much wider ambassadorial role for the growth of the organisation, whilst Chris Russell-Fish remains managing director of Black Deer Live.
