LadyRock festival blames financial climate for cancellation
LadyRock Festival, a women’s only event set to take place at Manchester Rugby Club on May 26, has been cancelled.
Jackie Crozier, the event’s founder and director and former festival director at Manchester Pride, said of the cancellation: “With deep regret the organisers of LadyRock 2012 have announced the cancellation of their inaugural festival.
“LadyRock was set up to be the first event of its kind in the North West, however sadly we have joined a number of other events and festivals across the country which have been hit by the current financial climate. The decision has therefore been made to cancel LadyRock 2012 rather than deliver a festival that would not be up to the standard Manchester, and the LadyRock brand deserves.
“I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with and supported LadyRock from the beginning and ask that you all look forward with us to creating future events in the greatest city in the UK.”
