LIWF organiser, Brintex, appoint Carter as exhibition director

Ross Carter has been appointed exhibition director of the London International Wine Fair (LIWF), replacing James Murray who left Brintex last week following his resignation after 10 years in the role.

The new appointment marks a return to Brintex for Carter, who was event manager for the LIWF between 2007 and 2009.  He left to travel the wine world and has a number of vintages under his belt, including stints in New Zealand at Pegasus Bay and Mudbrick Vineyards. On returning to the UK, he became a buyer at leading UK agent PLB, where he was responsible for Italy, Australasia, The US and South Africa.

Commenting on his new role, Carter said: “This is both an exciting and challenging time to return to my exhibition roots, and with coal-face experience in the wine industry I am looking forward to developing the show on both a UK and international level.”
