Melton Mowbray Town Estate (MMTE) has confirmed the return of Melton Ska Fest on 25th July 2026, following a highly successful inaugural year that saw the event shortlisted for NOEA’s Small Event of the Year 2025.

The festival is a key pillar of MMTE’s strategic shift to leverage its historic parkland as a viable outdoor event destination in the East Midlands. Under the leadership of CEO Dean Rees, the 2026 event will expand infrastructure, including a wider range of catering options and improved sanitation facilities, in direct response to attendee feedback from the sold-out 1,800-capacity 2025 debut.

The 2026 programming leans heavily into authenticity, featuring The Beat with Ranking Junior and the integration of Trojan Sound International—a classic Jamaican sound system—alongside Boot Boy Radio, which will livestream the main stage to a global audience.

“Our goal is to redefine Melton Mowbray’s position on the national touring map,” says Rees. “By adhering to Purple Guide standards and reinvesting commercial ticket revenue into the charity’s community work, we are creating a sustainable model for high-quality, regional music festivals.”
