Massive, the mass participation event specialist, has announced the appointment of Charlie Mussett as event operations consultant.

Mussett, the event delivery and safety specialist and former senior operations manager at The Great Run Company, brings with him a wealth of knowledge in mass participation events, most notably the Simplyhealth Great North Run.

In 2020, in response to COVID-19 and in consultation with industry experts, the event delivery team at massive has developed a robust operational process to ensure a safe return to events.

This process has been put into practice throughout the year, working closely with rights holders such as Formula 1, and charities including Alzheimer’s Society.

Massive’s consultancy has been key to the safe return of between 500 and 25,000 fans and participants at numerous events both in the UK and internationally.

Mussett will work with massive to expand this COVID-secure offering even further, taking it to the wider mass participation sport market.
