NOEA Award winners announced
Events professionals from across the UK gathered at the Holiday Inn, Birimingham International Airport, last Thursday to hear who had won top honours in the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) Awards.
Stand Out editor, Caroline Clift presented Specialized Security with the award for Event Supplier of the Year. The NOEA Judges award went to Showforce Group, and The NOEA Scotland Award was awarded to The Highland Show.
The Danson Festival, organised by Richmond Event Management, picked up the prize for Event of the Year, and Ben Price, of Whole Nine Yards won Event Organiser of the Year.
Sygma Safety won Best Practice Award, Production Partnership of the Year award went to the Culture of Liverpool major events team and Liverpool City Council and Small Event of the Year was bestowed upon Jamaica Live, which took place in Birmingham city centre.
Dalriada Festival of Sport, Music and Fine Food 2011 won Friendly Event of the Year and Speedy Hire won Event Innovation of the Year for its emissions buster.
At the NOEA Convention, which took place during the day, Richard Limb, president, NOEA, presented Melvin Benn, managing director, Festival Republic, with the Presidents Award for making a huge difference to the world of outdoor events.
