Olympic successes for venues during Games
Rio 2016 has revealed that 25,000 people visited Casa Brasil’s free public exhibitions and entertainment events at Somerset House during the London 2012 Olympic Games. The news comes as Concerto also announces Olympic success at its House of Nations venue, organised by Ultimate Experience.
Over 30,000 people attended Ultimate Experience’s two Games-time entertaining and screening venues at The Pavilion at the Tower of London and Camden Centre, King’s Cross over the 17 days of the Olympics.
Both venues proved very popular with those City employees who continued to work throughout the Games, Olympic tourists and Companies entertaining clients and staff.
Bars and a retail catering offer were managed by The Concerto Group’s two lead catering partners Create and Touch of Taste.
Stephen Lawrence, Ultimate’s managing director, said: “It was great to see two of our most popular Christmas Party venues put to such great use during the Games. For many who could not get tickets for the events it proved to be ‘the next best thing’ to being there. The two venues appealed to slightly different markets, with the Tower offering a slightly higher-end hospitality opportunity and the Camden Centre appealing to the younger crowd as it changed into a night club following the main screen action.”
