The Open’s Michael Wells revealed as Event Buyers Live key speaker

MichaelWellsThe man in charge of staging The Open golf championship is the first key speaker to be revealed by the organiser of Event Buyers Live. Michael Wells, director of Championship staging, at The R&A, organiser of The Open, will open the event on March 4, delivering a key address to more than 140 events professionals.

Wells, who has climbed through the ranks of the organisation, honing his event skills, has full responsibility for delivering the UK’s most prestigious golf tournament and ensuring that more 180,000 visitors have the best spectator experience.

Neil Fagg, publisher of Stand Out magazine, commented: “We are delighted to announce Michael as a key speaker at Event Buyers Live.
