Panasonic delivers projection at London 2012 opening ceremony

Panasonic, as the official worldwide AV equipment sponsor of the Olympic Games, contributed the very latest ultra bright projection technology to the opening ceremony of London 2012.

Panasonic’s PT-DZ21K were used to project images onto four sides of a house that appeared on the Olympic Stadium’s field of play. The house came to life with images from iconic British movies, television and music videos – they were created by projecors installed 100-metres away on the seating stands and below the roof of the Olympic Stadium.

In total 20 projectors shooting their images from eight different angles illuminated the outside fascias of the house turning them into giant screens. The projectors where mounted and stacked in portrait mode position.
