Robert Webb, the comedian, actor and writer, will host this year’s AEO Excellence Awards on June 15.

Webb grew up in Lincolnshire as a prelude to Cambridge University, he joined Cambridge Footlights where he met David Mitchell and went on to form a successful comedy partnership.

Chris Skeith, chief executive of the AEO, commented: “The host is always an exciting talking point for the awards and we’re very excited to bring you one of our favourite British comedians! I have no doubt that Robert Webb will deliver an unforgettable experience and we’re certainly looking forward to sharing some laughs with the best talent in the industry.

“This year marks our 25th anniversary and we’re planning to make it extra special. We’ll be revealing more about what you can expect on the day soon. In the meantime, good luck with your entries!”
