OxfamTwofour’s events team, Rocket Science, will be working with Oxfam to launch Oxfam’s Get Together for International Women’s Day Campaign with a star-studded event at Floripa in London, hosted by Lauren Laverne.

The event, which will bring together about 150 Oxfam supporters, will see guests network, exchange ideas and listen to some inspirational speeches from Karen Brown, chair of Oxfam, Monica Gorman, Oxfam’s country director in Tanzania, broadcaster Cherry Healey and a special message from Gemma Cairney, Radio 1 DJ. Guests will be taking to social media to kick off the buzz which will accumulate in International Women’s Day on March 8.

Get Together aims to help transform the lives of women living in poverty around the world through get togethers with friends, colleagues and loved ones to do what they love doing – while raising money for Oxfam.

Imelda Bamford Carter, who is managing the event, said: “We’re delighted to be working with such inspirational women to kick off Oxfam’s Get Together for International Women’s Day Campaign. From film nights to bake offs, we urge women throughout the UK to do what they love to support other women around the world.”
