Rouge appointed hospitality provider of new The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe production

Rouge Events has been appointed by Threesixty Entertainment to deliver the hospitality and catering for the new production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, which is set to take place in Kensington Gardens during summer 2012.

Following the smash-hit production of Peter Pan in 2009, Threesixty Theatre is returning to London’s historic Kensington Gardens to create another theatrical experience. The new production – held in a state-of-the-art theatre tent with a seating capacity of 1,500 – combines traditional theatre, puppetry, flying, circus skills, illusion and  360 degree video backdrops to transport both cast and audience to the magical Narnia. This classic story has been adapted for the stage by Olivier award-winning director Rupert Goold.

Rouge previously partnered with Threesixty in 2009 for both the summer run of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens and the Christmas season at the O2, and has once again been selected to add a touch of magic to the visitor experience by delivering high quality hospitality and refreshments.

This summer Rouge will produce and manage a bespoke bar, private hospitality gazebos, confectionery stalls and themed children’s party packages.

Rouge’s operations director, Nick Wright said: “We’re really excited to be working on this project. Of course the story lends itself to some magical design elements for the bar and hospitality area, and the location right in front of Kensington Palace is stunning. It’s going to be a superb summer entertainment destination for everyone from corporates to kids. Peter Pan was a huge hit with over 150,000 people enjoying the show in 2009 so we’re looking forward to an even busier summer with this production; the site size has almost doubled.”

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will run from May 8 – Sep 9 with nine shows per week.
