SC Productions launches advancing and show management portal

A digital advancing portal for festivals and events – called ADVANCE. – has been launched by SC Productions.

The online tool for event organisers and production teams draws on decades of experience and offers a fully customised package that can be adapted to suit the advancing requirements of any festival or event.

Sarah Hemsley-Cole, director of SC Productions Ltd, explained: “Advances in technology and IT are moving so quickly, alongside people’s increasing acceptance and familiarity of working online, that we felt now was the right time to launch this powerful tool. We distilled our knowledge of what is needed for effective show management into a user-friendly platform that can improve accuracy, efficiency and accountability in one place.

“ADVANCE. can be customised for each client, meaning the platform becomes bespoke to an organiser or production manager’s particular needs and can be accessed and updated wherever the user is – at home, in the office or on site, for example.”

The new online portal will give organisers detailed, real-time management over their site advancing, artist advancing, all accreditations, including crew, artists, guestlists and vehicles, along with health and safety inductions and COVID safety protocols. Each of these features can be used as a stand-alone entity or combined within a comprehensive package.

SC Productions began trialling the online platform in 2018, collating data from artists/touring parties – everything from accreditation and vehicle details to catering requirements and guestlists. Initial trials proved successful and the portal was expanded to include details and data regarding event and site contractors, traders, sponsors and guestlists. As a result, the portal gave organisers both control over, and insight into, exactly what was happening on any given day on their event. The result is ADVANCE.

Hemsley-Cole continued: “ADVANCE. is a valuable tool, providing events professionals with key data and information at the touch of a button. It has been developed to ensure pre-production and planning is a smooth process.
