The organisers of Scipmylo Festival have confirmed that the event, which was due to take place on Hackney Marshes from July 27 until August 12, has been put on hold.

In a statement, Scipmylo Ltd says that the event has not gone into administration but has been postponed.

Blaming reasons “beyond our control”, the statement read: “We do hope to be able to re-start, but think it only fair not to sell any further tickets whilst we sort things out. All those of you who have already bought tickets will shortly be contacted and refunded directly through Ticketmaster.

“In the meantime we are working hard behind the scenes to bring Scipmylo to you this summer and apologise for the uncertainty.”

The event was due to feature performances from Alan Davies, Dylan Moran and Milton Jones.
