Senate House has been chosen as the London stage for Guinness’ Arthur’s Day party on September 27.

The celebrations, which mark the signing of Guinness’ 9,000-year lease on the famous Dublin brewery, are coming to Britain for the first time since the event’s inception four years ago. Sir Tom Jones will headline the live music event alongside VV Brown, Razorlight and Wretch 32.

The celebration will take place in over 55 countries with a host of musical acts set to perform, including Mumford And Sons, Example, Tinie Tempah and Fatboy Slim. The Great Britain leg taking place at Senate House will be streamed live, enabling people to watch the performances on YouTube on the night.

Charlie Vernon, business development manager, Senate House comments: “We are looking forward to painting the town black and are very proud to be hosting this momentous event celebrating the remarkable legacy of Arthur Guinness. Arthur’s Day is very much about bringing people together and we are very excited to be a part of this.”

Stuart Kinch, Guinness marketing manager, Diageo Western Europe, adds: “Arthur’s Day has always been about like-minded people coming together for unique and remarkable music experiences in pubs and venues around the world. Now on  September 27, Guinness and music fans in Great Britain will get to experience this too.  With Tom Jones, VV Brown, Wretch 32 and more on the bill, it’s set to be a truly remarkable experience.”
