Sleek scales leadership as three-year growth hits 84%
Sleek Events has strengthened its senior leadership team following an average 23% year on year growth over the last 3 years, reinforcing its commitment to independence and long-term, sustainable expansion, at a time when the wider industry faces significant consolidation and M&A activity.
In this management evolution, Davidson moves into the role of CEO, stepping back from day-to-day agency operations to focus on long-term vision, clients, and culture. Meanwhile, Josie Klafkowska, who joined from global advertising network VML, has been appointed Managing Director, with ownership of the P&L, growth, and day-to-day running of the agency. The appointment reflects careful succession planning and a trusted working relationship with Davidson built over several years.
Under Davidson’s leadership, Sleek has grown into a sought-after global experience partner delivering everything from executive dinners to large-scale productions such as AWS London Summit, which this year will welcome more than 24,000 attendees.
Sleek was founded in 2013 by Jennifer Davidson, who has led the agency, steering it safely through the COVID slump and rebuilding it from a reduced staff of 5 in 2020 to a strong team of just under 50 today.
Jennifer Davidson, CEO and founder of Sleek Events, commented: “I feel genuinely energised by this evolution for Sleek. In an industry changing at pace, with mergers and acquisitions everywhere, it’s vital we position ourselves for long-term success. Stepping into the CEO role allows me to shape Sleek’s future direction, deepen our client partnerships, and continue championing the culture and standards we pride ourselves on. It’s business as usual – just with stronger foundations. Josie is brilliant and driven, and together we’ll ensure Sleek remains purpose-driven, independent, and profitable.”
Josie Klafkowska added: “Joining Sleek feels like a full-circle moment in my career, bringing together my experience across global networks and boutique agencies, along with deep knowledge of the technology provider ecosystem that defines Sleek’s client base. I’m excited to apply that experience to support the company’s next phase of growth. Jen has built an exceptional team over the past decade, and with such strong foundations in place, the opportunity ahead is tremendous.”
In addition, the current head of live, David Hills, will now be supported by Samantha Gabriel as deputy head of live. While Hills will lead on strategy and focus more deeply on clients and complex projects, Gabriel will lead on people development, skills progression, and embedding class-leading standards across the department.
David Blair, former head of technical production, moves into the newly created role of technical and innovation director, reflecting Sleek’s commitment to long-term innovation as demand grows for immersive, data-led, and technologically enhanced experiences. In short, he will ensure that creative technology remains a competitive advantage for Sleek.
To support continued expansion, Sleek is also recruiting to boost the senior leadership team across operations, HR, marketing, new business, and technical production.
These appointments represent a strategic investment in leadership and management infrastructure – ensuring Sleek scales with clarity, structure, and discipline.
