Top Gear Festival to host first ever street circuit

Top Gear Live is creating a festival and making its debut at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban KwaZulu-Natal. From June 16-17, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will host the event and perform to their biggest audience to date.

The City of Durban will also play host to Top Gear’s first ever street circuit– over 2 kilometres long and winding around the streets of Durban. Spectators will see Stig power laps, head-to-head racing, supercars, celebrity race challanges and drag racing.

A motoring expo will feature alongside the racing action.

Presenter Jeremy Clarkson commented: “We travel all over the world with Top Gear Live events and, wherever we are, we always say the audiences are amazing. But South Africa is different because when we say it there, we really mean it. That’s why I can’t wait to share our Top Gear Festival with the friendliest, most enthusiastic people on the planet.”
