Trafalgar Square to get St George’s Day transformation
The Greater London Authority has commissioned sevens7 to help transform Trafalgar Square into a beautiful English Garden this weekend for a free outdoor festival to mark St George’s Day.
The event will take place tomorrow (April 21) from 12pm until 6pm and will feature live music and theatrical performance.
Working alongside the GLA’s event officer, Lieran Stubbings and Helen Simpson, who is on a Year in Industry Placement with the GLA’s Events for London team, sevens7 has been engaged to help produce the event and provide event infrastructure.
The Greater London Authority is also working with award-winning horticulturalist Sarah Eberle to create the central London oasis that will see the square-a-bloom for one day only.
Raised beds, a 3D experience around the fountains, pop-up gardening installations and floral installations will feature.
Visitors to Trafalgar Square are also invited to enjoy their very own Breathe Happy moment at the Febreze Fresh Haven as part of the P&G Capital Clean Up campaign.
