TV chef Simon Rimmer to front new food and drink show in Liverpool

TV chef, Simon Rimmer is set to front a new food, drink and lifestyle show, which is being organised by SK Events, the company behind the city’s annual Liverpool Food & Drink Festival.

The new Livfooddrink Show is set to take place at the Liverpool Echo Arena and Conference Centre from May 5-6, 2013.

The Livfooddrink Show will bring together some of the finest regional food and drink producers, chefs and experts under one roof. The indoor event will also feature a hand-picked collection of designers and brands, specialising in stylish living.

Simon Rimmer, resident chef on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, will lead a programme of live high profile chef demonstrations in the Livfooddrink Show “super theatre”.

He said: “The Livfooddrink Show is set to be a fantastic event and I am delighted to be a part of it. There is a huge appetite for this kind of event in the north west and I think it will be a great show for those who have a real passion for good food.”

Added Denise Harris, managing director of SK Events: “Having organised the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival for the last six years, we know that there is a strong audience of food lovers in the region, who would be interested in this type of food, drink and lifestyle show.

“At the moment, people living in the north west would need to travel to Birmingham or London to experience an indoor food drink and lifestyle show of this standard. The Livfooddrink Show will be very much focused on home cooking, stylish living and entertaining, as well as expertise and know-how.”

National brands, including Aga, Tunnocks and Costco, will have a presence at the show, as well as regional artisan producers, such as the French Corner, Daresbury Dairies and the Cheshire Cheese Company.
