UBM rebrands IOEX to create Live Experience

International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX) has changed its name to Live Experience. Launched this year, UBM Live has taken the decision to rebrand the event to reflect the direction the show is headed in 2013.

Live Experience will showcase production services and technology for all live events including music, sporting and experiential.

UBM Live has taken the bold decision to change the name of this live events exhibition to reflect the focus of the show in line with market research feedback from visitors and exhibitors.

Speaking about this decision, event manager, James Samuel said: “This year’s exhibition highlighted the market convergence across brand experience, sports, music and public events. Through 2012 the range of spectacular events in London will showcase the incredible capabilities of agencies and suppliers under the gaze of international audiences.

“By positioning our brand to encompass any event professional involved in the process of delivering ‘live experience’ we’re positive our exhibitors and visitors will be clear that this show is relevant to them. The international events community is looking at the expertise and technology legacy residing in the UK. This is an industry that moves fast and we want to support our exhibitors in highlighting the trends which are just around the corner as well as reflecting what’s gone well in 2012/13.”

Live Experience will run alongside sister-show, International Confex, as part of a focal week in the events industry calendar including the culmination of the ‘Britain For Events Campaign’. Exhibitor satisfaction from the 2012 show was strong with reports of valuable deals and introductions being made.

Samuel concludes: “With nine months still to go before the 2013 show, 75 per cent of the 2012 floor space is already booked up for 2013 and we are receiving lots of interest. We’re delighted with the reception we received and hope that our audience embraces the new name as they have done the show. At the moment we’re consulting exhibition partners and supporters with regards to the educational programmes for both Live Experience and International Confex to ensure that we provide as much relevant and exciting content as possible. We’ve also extended the International Confex meetings booking system to include Live Experience as well – providing enhanced ROI opportunities for both groups of exhibitors.”

Live Experience and International Confex will take place on March 19-21.
