ACE publishes details of how to apply for Culture Recovery Fund

Arts Council England (ACE) has released details of how festival, events, arts and cultural organisations can apply for the Culture Recovery Fund: Grants Programme.

The fund specifically offers financial support for cultural organisations that were financially stable before COVID-19, but are now at imminent risk of failure.

According to ACE, the fund contains £500 million. Organisations can apply for a minimum of £50,000 up to a maximum of £3 million.

The funding is available to:

  • Cultural organisations (both profit and not for profit) based in England that are properly constituted and are registered at Companies House and/or Charity Commission, and are able to produce at least one year’s full independently certified or audited financial statements.
  • Local authorities, universities and other public sector bodies who run or maintain cultural services can also apply.

There are two rounds for this fund and it is expected that 75 per cent of the £500 million fund will be allocated in this round.

The first round opens on August 10 and closes on August 21.

The second round opens on August 21 and closes on September 4.
